This is a segment of the presentation by the French prosecution led by M. Faure on the Germanization in Western Europe including persecution on political, racial and religious grounds. The witness is professor Van der Essen at the University of Louvain in Belgium and a member of the Belgian Commission on War Crimes. After testifying about the destruction of the library of the University, he stated that the Germans imposed groups of Belgians collaborators on the country as burgomasters and aldermen alderen. He stated over 300 members of the University died as victims of the Gesstapo. of after being sent to a concentration camp.
