Dr. Allida Black will speak to students on May 15, 2018 about child labor laws and poverty using the text of "Lyddie" by Katherine Paterson. This essay contest provides an opportunity for students to explore the related theme and prepares them to engage more closely with the Young Readers Program.

Jackson Center will open the 11th Annual International Humanitarian Law Dialogues, entitled "Changing Times: New Opportunities for International Justice and Accountability." The opening program will be at the Jackson Center, in its Cappa Theatre, at 305 East 4th Street in Jamestown, NY. Admission is free for this unique, dynamic program.
