The Jackson Homestead Project

Rose Pregler

Join us on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00am at The Spring Creek Fire Hall (6345 Rt. PA-426, Spring Creek, PA 16436) for a presentation by Rose Pregler, 2018 RHJC intern and Mercyhurst University graduating Senior, on her findings on the Jackson family farmstead in Spring Creek, PA.

Rose Pregler double majored in Anthropology/Archaeology and History with concentrations in Archaeology and Public History. With the help of St. Bonaventure University archivist Dennis Frank, Rose produced an archival processing manual tailored to the Center’s particular archival needs. She investigated Robert H. Jackson’s family farmstead in Spring Creek, Pennsylvania using archaeology and oral history. Her work produced two senior theses, which will be the basis of her presentation.

Following Rose’s presentation, lunch will be offered at 12:00.  The event will conclude with a site visit to the Jackson Homestead at 1:30pm.  This event is free and open to the public.  Please call 716-483-6646 or email with any questions.
