Robert H. Jackson in Jamestown: A Conversation with Helen Ebersole

Please join us for a reception to meet and greet local author Helen Ebersole, who just published a revised edition of her book “Off The Pedestal.” The book offers a fascinating personal look at Justice Jackson, Chief Prosecutor at the principal trial against leaders of the Third Reich, and what his life was like when he lived and worked in Jamestown, NY. Ms. Ebersole engaged in extensive research, using the Robert H. Jackson Center archives, to uncover aspects of Justice Jackson’s life in Frewsburg and Jamestown that many will find intriguing.  Learn what influence the local communities had on Jackson as an eloquent speaker and brilliant writer; and, what experiences helped shape his world view.

Following the reception, Jackson Center co-founder and board member Gregory L. Peterson will interview Ms. Ebersole in the Jackson Center’s Cappa Theatre to learn details about her work on the project and her experiences with those who knew Justice Jackson personally.

Copies of Ms. Ebersole’s book, “Off The Pedestal,” will be available to purchase at the program.

Thank you to Chautauqua Region Community Foundation for sponsoring this event!
