Essay Contest Opportunities for High School and Grades 7 & 8
CONTEST DEADLINE FEB. 26
The Jackson Center is partnering with the Law, Youth and Citizenship Program of the New York State Bar Association for the Jackson biography to be the subject of a state-wide essay contest geared toward students in grades 7th and 8th. In addition, students in grades 9-12 may participate in a multimedia project contest.
Winners of the contests will be honored at a Jackson Center pasta dinner on April 27 at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited to the dinner at the cost of $8.00 per person, and reservations may be made by calling the Robert H. Jackson Center at 483-6646.
The Law, Youth and Citizenship Program of the New York State Bar Association will provide a classroom set of hard cover books of Robert H. Jackson for the first 15 schools that send an email the Law,Youth & Citizenship program stating a commitment to having their class/classes participate in the 2010 NY state essay contest. Please include contact person with school name & address in your email. Upon receipt of that email, the school will be sent an examination copy of the book, a letter of commitment, and planning materials. Contest theme, standards and entry form are posted on the Law,Youth & Citizenship Program website.
