Mr. Cayley earned his L.L.B and L.L.M. from University College London. He worked in private practice following his graduation, before completing an Officer’s Course and working as a Legal officer for the British Army. He then worked in the Office of the Prosecutor in the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia as Prosecuting Counsel and then Senior Prosecuting Counsel. He also worked as Senior Prosecuting Counsel at the International Criminal Court. Mr. Cayley worked as a defense attorney before the Special Court for Sierra Leone and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. In 2009 Mr. Cayley was appointed co-prosecutor for the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia.
