Chief Justice John G. Roberts’s 2013 Visit
Chief Justice John Roberts spoke to over 3000 people May 17th on the front porch of the Robert H. Jackson Center.
Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. commemorated the 10th anniversary of the dedication
of the Robert H. Jackson Center during an activity-filled two-day visit which included
a public address delivered from the front porch of the Center on May 17.
The milestone visit came ten years after the official dedication of the Center by
Justice Roberts's immediate predecessor, Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist, on
May 16, 2003.
An audience of more than 3,000 greeted the Chief Justice, and included federal and
state judges from across New York State, as well as judiciary from Pennsylvania.
Over 1600 students were also among the onlookers, coming from as far as Buffalo,
West Valley, Warren, PA and northern Michigan.
