Learning Standards Description

The National Education Standards outline what students should learn during their PreK - 12 school experiences. These standards are segmented into the following subject matter: Arts, Civics and Government, Mathematics, Economics, English Language Arts, Foreign Languages, Geography, History, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Technology .

New York State Board of Regents has approved a new set of New York State Learning Standards. They represent the core of what all people should know, understand and be able to do as a result of their schooling. As such, these learning standards are to form the basis for a revision of education in New York State.
