Members of the Chautauqua Boys’ and Girls’ Club Tuesday afternoon, July 22, will be treated to a presentation by Jamestown school students as part of the Robert H. Jackson Center’s participation in Security and Justice Week at Chautauqua.
Ten students from Linda Taylor’s Advanced Placement Class of Jamestown Public Schools will present a mock trial: Big Bad Wolf v. Curly Pig: A Civil Trial.
Students from Jamestown participating in the event include:
Eli Wright, Dominick Rodriguez, Jennifer Bentley, Spencer Eck, Patrick Salemme, Bridgett Murphy, Stephen Rabent, Cody Lassinger and Allison Rabent.
The Robert H. Jackson Center is located at 305 East Fourth Street inJamestown. The Center is open week day mornings and by appointment for tours by calling 483-6646.
Robert H. Jackson was a Jamestown attorney appointed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt as a United States Supreme Court Justice. President Harry Truman subsequently selected Jackson as Chief Prosecutor of the Nuremberg trial of major Nazi war criminals at the end of World War II.
