John Q. Barrett. Barrett, the Robert H. Jackson Center’s Elizabeth S. Lenna Fellow, a professor of law at St. John’s University School of Law and a Jackson historian spoke during Secutiry & Justice week at the amphitheater. . He has edited a previously unpublished book by Justice Jackson entitled That Man about Jackson’s experiences in the Franklin D. Roosevelt administration. Barrett also is writing a biography of Jackson centered on his role as Chief Prosecutor of Nuremberg at the end of World War II.

Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Center (CLSC) Brown Bag Luncheon was held at the CLSC Alumni Hall Lawn; Former Ambassador to Luxembourg John E. Dolibois spoke. Ambassador John E. Dolibois has spoken at the Jackson Center in the past.

Thursday, July 24, 2p.m.
Buses picked up interested Chautauquans behind
Chautauqua Diner and brought them to the Center where John Q.
Barrett spoke and showed the Korematsu film; docents
toured the Center and the bus returned to Chautauquans
to Chautauqua

Friday, July 25, 7 p.m.
John Q. Barrett and Jackson Center President Gregory Peterson presented FDR’s “I Hate War” speech at the Hall of Christ. This was the first time the speech was seen publicly with sound and picture put together.
