Jackson Center Dinner Program Set for Chautauqua


Robert H. Jackson Center Executive Director, Rolland Kidder, announced that the full program for the April 28th dinner at Chautauqua Institution had been completed. “We are looking forward to a wonderful event at Chautauqua on Wednesday night, April 28th,” Mr. Kidder said. “We will be honoring not only the Brown sisters who will be speaking the next day at Chautauqua, but we will also be recognizing four former law clerks from the United States Supreme Court who will have participated in a Roundtable at the Jackson Center that morning. In addition, we have invited five high school essay contest winners from across New York State to be in attendance and to be recognized for their accomplishment.”

Mr. Kidder indicated that Thomas Becker, President of Chautauqua would be welcoming the dinner guests and that the Rev. Dr. Joan Brown Campbell of Chautauqua Institution would also be participating. Professor John Q. Barrett, Elizabeth S. Lenna Fellow at the Jackson Center, will be introducing the honored guests and Greg Peterson, President of the Robert H. Jackson Center, will act as Master of Ceremonies. The keynote address will be given by former Attorney General of the United States, Nicholas deB. Katzenbach.

A reception prior to dinner will commence at 6 p.m. and the dinner program will begin at 7 p.m. Both events will be held at the Athenaeum Hotel. The major sponsors of the various events surrounding the recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the Brown v.
