Several facility improvements have been completed and are in the process of being completed in the near future. These improvements are updating the buiding and grounds and providing the Center with renovated space and new equipment for a variety of professional, educational and community activities.
We are very grateful for contributions from benefactors and grants from foundations and state organizations that are helping us to achieve our goals.
On October 22, 2002, State Senator Patricia McGee visited the Robert H. Jackson Center in Jamestown and announced her support for a capital construction program now underway at the Center. Senator McGee announced that through her sponsorship of New York State Community Capital Assistant Program (C-CAP) funds, $100,000 will be coming to the Jackson Center so that its building program can continue.
More recently, in 2005 nearly $1,000,000 was pledged to the Jackson Center by state government for renovations of the auditorium and construction of a new archive center. The construction and renovation began in March 2006 and are scheduled to finish in late 2006.
